We Build Big Things

Giant Equipment started with a simple question: what if an arcade machine was so big it became the event itself?

The Origin Story

It started in a garage in San Carlos, California. Sam Mateosian — game developer, VR enthusiast, and lifelong arcade lover — wanted to build the ultimate head-to-head gaming experience. Not a mini cabinet for the den. Not a retro replica. Something that would make people stop, stare, and line up to play.

Working with hardware engineer Ben and 3D printing specialist Jinxbot, the team designed and built a 16-foot tall, fully functional arcade cabinet with dual screens, custom Bluetooth controllers, VR headset mounts, and built-in computers. The first Giant Arcade Machine was born.

The reaction was immediate. Every event, every demo, every time someone walked past it — they stopped. They pulled out their phones. They waited in line. They played. And then they asked: "Where can I get one?"

The Mission

We believe physical gaming experiences matter. In a world of screens and isolation, there's something irreplaceable about standing next to someone, grabbing the controls, and competing face-to-face. We build machines that create those moments — at a scale that demands attention.
